The platform is equipped with the Ettan system of GE Healtcare for the production of 2D electrophoresis gels.
The separation of proteins according to their isoelectric point (pI = first dimension) is carried out on Ettan IPGphor, on strips with various pH gradients (3-10, 4-7, 5-8, 7-9, etc.) and a maximum length of 24 cm. The proteins separation according to their molecular weight (MW = second dimension) is performed on the Ettan Dalt 6 which allows the simultaneous migration of 6 large gels (24 x 20 cm).
The Ettan DIGE Imager allows the scanning of 2D-DIGE electrophoresis gels (prior staining of protein extracts by Cy2, Cy3 and Cy5 fluorophores and co-migration of the 3 labelled extracts on the same gel).
